About me

I am an artist living in beautiful Dorset, where the abundant nature surrounding my current home inspires my art. Prior to settling in Dorset, I lived for many years in various countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia – these fascinating countries and cultures have fed into my eclectic art style! My work is held in private collections around the world.
My work is varied. I paint on paper or board in mixed media or watercolours. Recent works include semi abstract landscape, seascape and still life paintings.
I make ‘Botanical Impressions’ which are monoprints in ink on paper made from pressed plant life and plaster plaques cast from fresh flowers and leaves.
I also love using fibres and paper to create unique vessels and handmade books and cards.
You can find examples of my work and more information on the processes I use in the Studio section and currently available pieces in the Gallery or my Etsy Shop. I enjoy sharing my techniques with others and run occasional workshops throughout the year.
Alongside art I enjoy anything to do with homes and gardens! Over the years, I’ve enjoyed renovating several old properties and love to bring my artist’s eye to decorative schemes! I trained in Property Styling and Colour Consultancy to advise on how to present property for sale or rent (holiday homes too) and have written several helpful guides on the subject – contact me for further details.
I enjoy walking in the beautiful Dorset countryside and tending the subjects of my art in my courtyard garden. I am lucky enough to have a small studio there – an ideal spot for creating art with a view of the garden! I welcome visitors to my studio to view my work during Dorset Art Weeks and have an open studio before Christmas – I also open my studio by appointment so, if you’d like to visit please contact me to arrange a time.
