I am to be be found most days in my small studio at the end of my garden. Here I have a lovely view of both garden and countryside - the perfect place for creating! I paint and collage with mixed media, using watercolours, acrylics and pastels. I make 'Botanical Impressions' - some are monoprints in ink on paper using pressed plant life and others are plaster plaques cast from fresh flowers and leaves. I also love using fibres and paper to create unique vessels and handmade books and cards. You can find examples of my work and more information on the processes I use in the Studio section and currently available pieces in the Shop section.
Prior to settling in Dorset, I lived for many years in various countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia - these fascinating countries and cultures fed into my eclectic art style, but now I gather much of my inspiration walking in the beautiful Dorset countryside. I love collecting and my pockets are filled with nature finds such as shells, feathers and seaweed, or leaves and flowers to be included in my work or display in my studio.
I enjoy connecting with others by sharing my art and craft techniques at creative workshops a few times a year. I welcome visitors to my studio to view my work during Dorset Art Weeks and before Christmas, as well as by appointment. If you'd like to visit please contact me to arrange a time.
