Botanical Lotus Fold Book - FRIDAY 31ST JANUARY at Walford Mill, Wimborne, Dorset
Join me for a full day workshop at beautiful Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne to create a handmade Artist’s book. Learn how to make botanical prints without a printing press and create lovely pages for a Lotus Fold book.
The workshop runs from 10am to 4.30pm and includes all the materials required to make the book.
In the morning we will be using a gelli plate printing surface, with acrylic paints and pressed plant life to print beautiful papers. In the afternoon we’ll use these to create a wonderful folded book. These books are very sculptural and opening and closing reveals the delightful botanical elements.
Bring your own lunch or visit Little Pickle at the Mill, the onsite cafe which serves delicious food and drinks.
Walford Mill is a grade II listed mill and unique destination in Wimborne, Dorset. With the waterside café Little Pickle at the Mill , resident artists, designers and makers working in open studios, exhibitions, pop-up studios, craft workshops for adults and children and monthly craft markets in the idyllic riverside courtyard there is something for everyone to enjoy!
