Botanical Plaster Casting Workshop Sunday October 27th 2024 at Walford Mill Crafts, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 1NL
Join me at beautiful Walford Mill Crafts, in Wimborne, to learn how to create beautiful botanical plaster casts!
Workshops are for a maximum of 4 people.
The workshop runs from 11 am to approximately 3.30pm at a cost of ￡85.00 per person which includes all the materials required to make a beautiful square botanical plaster cast.
During the workshop you will learn how to prepare the clay and frame, how to work with the plant materials and find out how to mix the plaster and fill the clay impression. Whilst the plaster sets we will break for lunch - bring a packed lunch or order from the onsite cafe ( I will send a menu after booking the workshop) - after which I will show you how a piece should be cleaned and finished. You’ll then be able to remove the cast from its mould and be amazed by the delicate details revealed!
Walford Mill is a grade II listed mill and unique destination in Wimborne, Dorset. With the waterside café Little Pickle at the Mill , resident artists, designers and makers working in open studios, exhibitions, pop-up studios, craft workshops for adults and children and monthly craft markets in the idyllic riverside courtyard there is something for everyone to enjoy!

If, due to unforeseen circumstances I have to cancel this workshop then a new date will be issued and you may either transfer your booking, or if you prefer, a refund will be issued. Should you need to cancel your booking unfortunately refunds cannot be issued unless discussed directly with me.
I may use photographs taken during the workshop for marketing purposes, if you don’t wish to be featured please let me know.
